
Fire Safety Training
Fire Safety Training plays an important role in the workplace. Apart from being a legal requirement, Fire Safety Training provides essential knowledge to employees on what procedures to follow in the event of a fire situation.
Our Fire Safety Training course has been designed to meet the requirements of both the 1981 Fire Services Act and Regulation 9 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
The course will be delivered at your premises and tailored specifically to your work practices/procedures.

Duration 1.5 hours
The course is comprised of two parts. The first part is an interactive classroom presentation, and the second part is an outdoor training session where all employees will have an opportunity to gain practical experience under controlled conditions by using fire extinguishers on live fires
The classroom part of the course incorporates the following modules:
- The chemistry and theory of fire
- The fire classification system
- Fire extinguisher selection
- Fire extinguisher use
- Fire extinguisher safety
- Summary, final questions and written assessment
The outcome of the course is that employees will have the prerequisite training to use a portable fire extinguisher to tackle a small fire in the workplace without exposing themselves or others to unnecessary danger.
Duration 2.5 hours
Our Fire Warden course is designed provide employees who are assigned special duties to be performed in a fire emergency, or fire safety duties to be performed as a matter of routine within the premises, the training required to carry out those duties, and also to give them an effective understanding of the general principles of fire safety.
The course is undertaken on the employer’s premises and its content can, therefore, be customised as appropriate to the needs of the premises or to the duties assigned.

- Liaison with the fire brigade
- Action on discovering a fire
- Fire safety legislation
- Means of escape protection
- The chemistry and theory of fire
- Common causes of fire
- Fire prevention and housekeeping
- Fire safety precautions
- Fire drills and evacuation procedures
- Practical use of fire extinguishers
- Summary, final questions and written assessment
